Low Level Legacy

Low Level Legacy is the title of a new, unconventional short experimental film installation inspired by a current social and political issue: low-level nuclear waste. Art has the unique ability to critically and openly represent pressing societal and political topics in its own way. At the moment we are still researching, we hope to start the filmproject the 1st of June 2025.

In this film production, I am collaborating with D.O.P. Felix Schuster, who is based in Berlin. This marks our second collaboration, following our work on the short film Unsettling Dust.

Nuclear waste is generated through the production of nuclear energy, nuclear research, and medical applications. It can also be released from natural materials, such as certain ores. Radioactive waste can remain hazardous for hundreds to even thousands of years, requiring careful storage. In this short film, I focus on low-level radioactive waste. While it may sound harmless, it remains radioactive for 300 years.
